Eric Black has revealed that he was in a Tayside hotel preparing himself for
his first team talk at 1.15pm yesterday when he heard that the Dundee game as
off: "I've been delighted with the response at Fir Park this week. I don't know if we've been doing anything different but the application has been wonderful." "We're aware of the financial restrictions and go into the job with our eyes open. There has to be a sound base from which to work and I'm delighted the youth development side of things has been sorted out with George Adams and Chris McCart coming from Celtic. We need to develop kids to provide us with first-team players and I've been impressed by those young guys in the team. I was born in Bellshill so I know what this club means in the area - it should be a perfect grounding for kids."
Pat Nevin has confirmed in the morning's papers that our new
Youth Development Officer George Adams is in fact Derek Adams' dad. Nevin
