Speculation is growing that Craig Brown is being lined up for the vacant manager's job at Fir Park. Brown stepped down as Scotland boss yesterday after failing to lead us to World Cup 2002, but intends to hold on to his other job as SFA technical director. However, he hinted he would also resign from that position should a club job come his way. Craig Brown is currently 3rd in our Fans' Poll of possible replacements for Billy Davies.
Stevie Hammell started for Scotland Under-21s in their match against Latvia at Broadwood on Friday night, but was substituted at half time. Mark Brown didn't even make the bench. Meanwhile, Stuart Elliott started for Northern Ireland in their 1-0 win in Malta yesterday.
