Today's Sun reports that Motherwell are interested in Inverurie Locos striker Stuart McKay.  The 20-year-old was watched by George Adams in Saturday's 1-0 win over Huntly, but Locos manager John Gardiner (not THE John Gardiner surely!) believes other big clubs should be queuing up for McKay's signature:
"Stuart, along with Neil Reid up front, takes a lot of the pressure off us with his pace.  They are both so quick and hard-working the midfield have trouble keeping up sometimes.  Stuart is a tremendous prospect.  He is only just 20 and I'm surprised a bigger club hasn't come in for him yet.  He was player of the year in our first season and someone should take a close look at him."

Terry Butcher has dismissed reports linking him with the vacant manager's position at Ipswich.  Butcher is one of the favourites to land the job, but he said today:
"It's obvious I will be linked because of my ties as a player - but I love my job at Motherwell and it's a job I am just starting."

Time for a new opinion poll!

Should Steve Woods be replaced when the transfer window reopens?
