We lost 3-0 at Ibrox this afternoon. I wasn't at the game but by
the sound of things we weren't at all disgraced, and despite
losing a goal after only 2 mins we managed to keep it at 1-0
until well into the second half, when a 72nd minute goal from
Lovenkrands killed the game. We had David Partridge red-carded
shortly afterwards, and then de Boer added a third goal in
stoppage time. An unusual team selection saw David Cowan come in
for his first starting appearance, with Daniel Sengewald on the
bench.
Team: Woods, Corrigan, Partridge, Hammell, Lasley, Pearson (Jack 73), Adams, Ferguson, Lehmann (Russell 45), Ramsey, Cowan
Motherwell's Under-18 side beat their Rangers counterparts 2-1 at Murray Park yesterday afternoon, with Clarkson and Scott the scorers. A good omen for this afternoon perhaps?
Our return match against Rangers, at Fir Park on Boxing Day, will be broadcast live on the BBC.
Time for a new opinion poll! Should Steve Woods be replaced when the transfer window reopens?
