The Official MFC Site reports that three 'Well players have been called up for International duty next week.  Stevie Hammell and Mark Brown are both in the Scotland Under-21 squad for the match against Latvia at Broadwood on October 5, while Stuart Elliott has been selected for the Northern Ireland squad for their match against Malta the following day.

Speaking after last night's game, 'Well caretaker manager John Philliben said:
"I cannot fault my players for effort but our final ball let us down.  It was a cruel way to lose any game but we lost two soft goals and you cannot do that and expect to win a cup tie.  We have to pick ourselves up as we have an important game against St Johnstone on Saturday."

Apparently this morning's Herald was touting the suggestion that we might go for Sandy Clark as our new manager, with BD heading to Perth!  Clark has yet to apply for the post, but "sources close to the club" insisted that he would be an ideal candidate.

Not really sure about this one!
