Stevie Hammell was once again a unused substitute for Scotland Under-21s in this evening's 0-0 draw with Belgium in Sint-Truiden.

Reports are once again linking us with Hearts' striker Gary McSwegan.  Tynecastle manager Craig Levein confirmed Motherwell's interest, saying:
"They have expressed an interest and we have been talking."

Levein will allow the former Rangers and Notts County striker to leave, but insists he is not being forced out:
"Gary came on during our 1-0 win over Dunfermline and did well. But we are not forcing him out of the door.  We are short on numbers in the striking department with the likes of Stephane Adam and Gary Wales injured at the moment and it is necessary to have options available."

McSwegan still has more than a year of his present deal remaining.

The Official Site reports that Greg Strong has responded well to treatment and may be able to resume full training this week.  It was originally feared that the injury which Greg picked up at Pittodrie would sideline him for up to six weeks, but 'Well Physio John Porteous said today:
"He has done everything that I have asked him to do and it has responded well. I will push him a little bit harder tomorrow myself before letting him go into first team training on Thursday, all being well. He is not quite there yet but he has given himself a fighting chance of being fit for the weekend."

There were no other major injuries to report, so it looks like we could have a full squad for the Hibs game.
