Billy Davies insists he is not under any pressure, despite this
afternoon's humping by Hibs which still leaves us without a win this season: "I warned the players that it was important to hold on to a lead if we managed to score. The five minutes after a goal are important but we lost our initiative. "David Kelly knows that he could have had a hat-trick out there. Stuart Elliott was worth pass marks but the rest were disappointing".

Is it time for Billy Davies to go?
Hibs ran out easy 3-1 winners at Fir Park this afternoon following another dire Motherwell performance. Following his impressive display against Livvy a fortnight ago, Stephen Pearson kept his place in the side and Derek Adams was also restored to the starting line-up. Stuart Elliott partnered David Kelly upfront. To be fair, the first half wasn't too bad and we actually look the lead when Kelly slotted home a penalty after 13 mins. However, we didn't get a chance to build on the lead as Hibs equalised just a few minutes later, when Kevin Twaddle fouled Laursen in the box and Sauzee scored from the spot. Quite was Twaddle was doing back in his own box to give away the penalty is a different matter - in the first half BD seemed to have him playing as a virtual right-back at times. Hibs began to take control of the game and passed up a great chance to lead the lead in 31 mins following yet another penalty award. However, this time Sauzee's kick was well saved by Mark Brown in the 'Well goal. We were still in the game at this point and David Kelly missed a sitter when he fired past the post when it seemed easier to score. Stevie Hammell and Stevie Nicholas replaced the ineffective Twaddle and Adams at half-time, but sadly the second half was all Hibs and they took the lead just 3 mins after the interval, when Sauzee cracked home a free kick from around 25 yards. The visitors never looked back after this, and apart from another Kelly sitter we rarely threatened their goal. The game was all over after 64 mins when Fenwick fired Hibs into a 3-1 lead from close range, and we never looked like getting back into the game. Substitute Stevie Nicholas hit the bar in the dying minutes but by then most 'Well fans had already left the ground. The most worrying thing about this performance was the ease in which Hibs turned us over. Despite having five players in midfield, we were completely overrun in that department by the visitors and once again the strikers were given very little service. Keith Lasley was obviously dropped for playing well last week. It looks to me as though BD has completely run out of ideas, and with a trip to Ibrox in store next week it's difficult to see any light at the end of the tunnel.
