Recent trialist Jason Bent has returned home to Canada after failing to agree terms with the club.  Terry Butcher is quoted as saying:
"There were one or two things that we didn’t agree on financially.  He’s gone back to think about one or two things, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens."

Meanwhile, Alex Burns will be staying at Fir Park after a proposed move back to Partick Thistle fell through.  TB said:
"That one’s dead.  Alex wants to stay and fight for his place; it means we continue to have competition for strikers, and it wouldn’t have let me bring in anybody else."

Oh great.

Inverness Caley Thistle have reduced the admission prices for the CIS League Cup tie to £15 for adults and £10 for concessions.

The reserves were beaten 2-1 by their Dundee Utd counterparts at Tannadice yesterday.  Motherwell were awarded two penalties in the match and both were taken by Alex Burns, but while one was converted the other was saved by the United goalkeeper.

The referee for Saturday's match at Dunfermline is Craig Mackay.  Nope, I've never heard of him either.
