11.10am Motherwell signed two players on transfer deadline day. Steve McDonald, a tall centre half who can also play up front, has agreed a short-term deal until January and is the first player to benefit from our tie up with Western Australia club Sorrento. Brian McLean, another central defender, has signed on loan from Rangers until the end of the season. The 20-year-old, who can also play at right-back or in midfield, is a Northern Ireland Under 21 Internationalist. Our CIS Cup tie at Love Street will go ahead on Tuesday, September 20 with a 7.45pm kick-off. The club will be running buses, and seats can be booked from the Fir Park office for £4 per person. Marc Fitzpatrick is the latest addition to the injury list after being crocked in a bounce game against Rangers earlier this week. The club currently have TWENTY ONE players not involved in training this week - seventeen out injured and four away on international duty. The Davie Cooper and Centenary Suites will be open before and after tonight's Scotland v Italy Under-21 match at Fir Park. Graeme Smith and David Clarkson are in the Scotland U21 squad. |
