Mark McGhee made two additions to his squad before the transfer window closed at midnight on Friday.  19-year-old striker Lewis Grabban has signed on loan from Crystal Palace, while ex-Rangers midfielder Stephen Hughes has agreed a two-year deal after Motherwell paid Leicester City an undisclosed fee for the 24-year-old.  Both players go straight into the squad for tomorrow night's game against Hearts.

Moving in the other direction was Under-19 goalkeeper Alan Martin, who has signed an initial two-year deal with Leeds United.  It seems that Mark McGhee planned to bring in Rab Douglas as goalkeeping cover, but the former Celtic goalkeeper was unhappy with the terms of the contract he was offered.

Our home match with Rangers on Saturday, September 29 will now kick-off at 12.30pm and be broadcast live to Setanta.
