7.30pm Yesterday's result: Motherwell 1, Rangers 1. Sadly I missed the game as I had a funeral to attend, and it sounds like I missed a cracking match with Motherwell seemingly outstanding in the first half. Chris Porter gave us the lead midway through the first half after being set-up by David Clarkson, but the visitors equalised after the break courtesy of a soft penalty award. Seems we had a decent spot kick claim of our own turned down (surprise, surprise), but overall most reports suggest a draw was probably a fair result. Team: (4-3-3): Smith, Quinn, Reynolds, Craigan,
Paterson, Lasley, Hughes, McGarry, Porter, McCormack (Fitzpatrick 83),
Clarkson (Jamie Murphy 89). Booked: Paterson, Clarkson, Reynolds, Lasley. Motherwell scorer: Porter 24. Attendance: 10,009. Mark McGhee's post-match comments were as follows: |
