5.25pm It’s official. We are finally out of administration, and won’t be subject to a 10 point deduction next season! Here comes the legal bit… The Court of Session in Edinburgh has approved an application from the club to discharge its administrators and, in accordance with insolvency legislation, resume trading normally as a limited company. New Motherwell chairman Bill Dickie is quoted as saying: “I would like to thank the administrators for the valuable assistance they have given the club. Motherwell is emerging from administration on a sound financial footing and can meet the challenges ahead with confidence.” Outgoing administrator Bryan Jackson said: And finally, Terry Butcher added:
Derek Adams is being linked with a Bosman move to Aberdeen at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Terry Butcher’s name has been mentioned in connection with the vacant manager’s job at Easter Road.
David Clarkson and Paul Quinn have both been named in the Scotland Under-21 squad for the friendly in Denmark next week.
