1pm It’s all been very quiet for a couple of weeks, but one of this morning’s papers finally has an update on the possible takeover of the club. The Sunday Mail reports that a potential buyer is in talks and could be named in two weeks. Administrator Bryan Jackson is believed to be negotiating with a local businessman, but warns that it will be a long time yet before any investment can me made in the team. He said: “I am upbeat about the situation and believe the club’s supporters can feel positive. After the initial cull of playing staff there are no plans for additional cuts.” Meanwhile, Terry Butcher has returned from working as a radio pundit at the World Cup, and wants his players to follow the example set by underdogs Senegal and South Korea to survive this season in the SPL.
