9am The first-team squad reported back for pre-season training yesterday, and despite the continuing speculation of a club takeover it was business as usual for manager Terry Butcher: “We are still up in the air as regards a new buyer, although if we make a good start then maybe that will attract someone in. Of course it would be nice if our future was all mapped out but then “First I want us to avoid relegation but we need to aim high. We probably have the smallest squad in the league but I’m happy with what I’ve got. The first day back was great and I could sense they were buzzing and raring to go. We will be out to prove a few people wrong. “I have had a while to get used to the situation by now.
